School of Taxation & Business Law academic Fiona Martin presented at this year’s annual American Law and Society Conference held in June 2012 in Hawaii USA. This conference is attended by approximately 2400 North American and International academics, 20 of the delegates were from UNSW. It provides an opportunity for discussion on a wide range of topics including tax policy, environmental law, intellectual property and Chinese law.
Fiona Martin presented a paper on the inequity of the tax regime relating to mining payments in the Northern Territory. Professor Neil Buchanan of George Washington University organized the 45 tax papers presented at conference.
