World Class Research Performer
The School of Marketing at UNSW received equal top rating nationwide in the Federal Government’s inaugural Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) ranking, a scorecard of research performance in Australian higher education institutions, compared with international standards, with Tourism ranking equal second in the country. These results confirm the School’s research performance at well above the international benchmark.
The Federal Government used a range of indicators to evaluate the research performance of individual disciplines at Australian institutions, including: research quality, research volume, application of research and a range of ‘esteem’ measures.
These rankings are part of the strong performance of the Australian School of Business in the ERA and reflect our focus on building high impact research which is highly regarded in academic circles and built on world-class academics and high calibre research students. ERA ranking drives Federal Government research funding to universities.
