The School of Economics at the Australian School of Business, University of New South Wales, will host a Workshop on Emerging Economies on 1-3 August, 2012.
The aim of the workshop is to provide researchers with an opportunity to present empirical and theoretical investigations in a number of thematic areas:
- Political Economy in India
- Interest Rates and Prices
- Human Factors of Production: Theory and Applications
- Topics in Macro and Trade in China
- China’s Development and Inter-generational Perspectives
- Finance in Emerging Economies
- Topics in Health and Labor in India

From the hotel to campus
The hotel is an easy 10-15 minute bus ride from campus. The 370 bus picks up on Arden Street, just opposite Coogee Beach, and can drop you off on High Street, just outside of Gate 9, which is nearest the Scientia Building (where the workshop will be held). Alternatively, you can enter via Gate 2, which is nearest the ASB building.
You can also take a cab (the hotel front desk can arrange this), which will take approximately 10 minutes and cost approximately 15 AUD.
