The School of Economics at the Australian School of Business, University of New South Wales, will be holding an Econometric Theory workshop on the 9 and 10 of July, 2012.
The aim of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for researchers to present and exchange ideas in current "hot topics" in econometrics. The topics of discussions are open with a main emphasis on econometric methodology. The workshop is part of an initiative to establish the Sydney Econometric Research Group (SERG) with the aim to provide a forum for econometricians from Sydney and beyond to exchange ideas and developments on any aspect of Econometric methodology.

PhD students are strongly encouraged to attend.
This workshop will be held at the School of Economics, Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales. The school of Economics is located in the 4th floor of Australian School of Business (ASB) Building, which is marked as building E12 on this map. If travelling from Coogee Beach, catch the 370 bus which stops in front of Gate 2. From there follow the drive way to the ASB Building.
The workshop sessions will be held in level one of the ASB building, room ASB 119. More detailed venue information will be posted shortly.
There is a workshop dinner on Monday July 9th starting from 7pm. The dinner will be held at the Ceviche Restaurant located near Coogee Beach.
There will be drinks at the end of day one and two of the workshop proceedings. These will be held in the staff lounge on level six of the ASB building. All participants are welcome to attend the drinks.
Coffee break and lunch
Coffee breaks and lunch will be held in the Economics West Lobby, level four of the ASB building.
Workshop participants will have wireless internet access during the workshop days. Details about access will be available here shortly.
