The Broadleaf Capital International Scholarship provides financial support to a highly talented student each year who undertakes a full-time AGSM MBA at the Australian School of Business and intends to pursue a career related to risk management or corporate governance.

The Scholarship provides up to AUD$10,000 in conditional tuition funding to an outstanding entrant into the full-time AGSM MBA Program. This year’s scholarship will support a student commencing studies in January 2010.

Eligibility
The successful applicant must:

• Gain acceptance to the full-time AGSM MBA Program at the Australia School of Business.
• Indicate an intention to follow a course of study or make a career related to risk management or corporate governance.
• Demonstrate leadership ability, exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Show solid personal integrity and business ethics.

Selection
The selection committee will consider the following information provided in your AGSM MBA scholarship application:

• Educational credentials
• Business and other experience
• Referee reports
• Application form

The Broadleaf Capital International Scholarship recipient is to be chosen by the UNSW Scholarship Committee whose decision will be final in all circumstances. Should the recipient of the scholarship interrupt their studies or overall grade average fall beyond what is considered to be a respectable level, the award may be discontinued or deferred depending on the circumstances, as judged by the Scholarship Committee.

Procedures for submission of your scholarship application, including supporting documents required will be outlined online.

Applications are open from 17 July to 25 September 2009 for commencement of studies Semester 1 2010.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview in person or by telephone. The recipient of the scholarship will be notified no later than mid September.

Paolo Tanca is the 2009 winner of the Broadleaf Capital International Scholarship.

Having previously attained a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce from LUISS Guido Carli University in Italy, Paolo comes to the AGSM MBA program with a career in finance and risk management. Mostly recently taking the role of Financial Risk Controller for Renault in Paris, Paolo is delighted of the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of areas outside of finance and also develop his interest in Asia.
