The AGSM MBA Career Services team provides students with the opportunity to develop their career management skills during the course of their MBA program.
The range of career services on offer is specifically designed to provide students with the tools for successful job searching and career management, as well as the guidance and support needed to map out a long-term career path.
Career management program
The career management program is designed to provide students with a set of skills to assist in the proactive management of their career throughout their entire working life.
As part of the program, the self-assessment activity identifies career/life preferences, describing practical methods to research the market and detailing techniques that can be applied in job search. It is comprised of the following components: Self Assessment I & II; Career Strategy & Planning; Playing the Interview Game; Resume Writing and Interview Practice.
Career advice
Individual counselling sessions are available with the Career Services team (by appointment) to obtain more tailored career guidance and support.
Career resources
The Careers Services team provides various online career resources to AGSM MBA students, including a jobs board, useful website links, example interview questions, resume templates, industry research guides and publications.
Recruitment
Career Services aims to build and develop strong relationships with companies who can benefit from having an AGSM MBA graduate in their organisation. Successfully aligning the skills and experience of MBAs with the needs of the company is our key objective. Career Services continually market to previous and prospective recruiters and leverage off our strong Alumni base.

Placement statistics
Each year the Career Services team complies a list of placement statistics that highlight general employment data, including how many graduates were employed, what region they were employed in, what profession and industry they were employed in and salary information. Yearbook
Each year Career Services produces a Yearbook to present full-time MBA and Strategic Management Year resumes to potential employers. This is extensively marketed to all of our contacts and potential recruiters.
Workshops and events
Dependent on demand, a number of workshops and events are arranged to assist students. These include Case Study Workshops, Industry Overviews, Image & Attitude Workshops, Networking/Social Events and a Visa Workshop for International Students. Networking
Social events are arranged throughout the year, where there is an opportunity for AGSM MBA students to mix and meet with company representatives. In addition, students are extended an invitation to attend various events managed by Alumni services including the School Dinner, Alumni industry presentations and educational programs.
