Admission to UNSW is based on academic merit. Applications to our postgraduate coursework programs can be made online or on paper:
Offer and acceptance of places
Successful applicants will be issued a letter of offer. This offer should be accepted and returned as soon as possible, with a deposit if required.
International students: Once this acceptance is received by UNSW, an 'Electronic confirmation of enrolment for overseas students' (eCOE) form is issued to enable an application for a student visa to be lodged. International students are advised to allow sufficient time to apply for student visas following the receipt of a letter of offer.
Application dates
- Semester 2 (July) 2012 intake: 30 May 2012
- Semester 1 (March) 2013 intake: 31 October 2012
Subject to availability of places, applications from domestic applicants may be considered after the closing date.
Deferment of offers
Students may apply to defer the commencement of their studies by up to one year, but their application will be reassessed against the competitive entry criteria at that time. A new letter of offer will be issued only if the entry criteria for the later semester is met.
