Social events

Social events are an integral part of university life and essential to building a sense of community and collegiality amongst students.

Typical events and activities held throughout the year for students at the Australian School of Business include an orientation camp for first year students, barbecues, annual excursions, movie nights, harbour cruises, sports days and an undergraduate ball. Postgraduate students can participate in orientation camps, excursions and a farewell ball.

Students also have the opportunity to get involved in the organisation and management of these events and to develop their organisational, teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Social events are organised in conjunction with the various student societies. For more information please see Student clubs & societies.

"Studying at UNSW was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I was involved in organising and coordinating a number of events which gave me the opportunity to actually implement what I learned in the classroom in real life."
