As an alumnus of the Australian School of Business, you can volunteer to mentor an undergraduate, postgraduate or AGSM MBA student.
Why should I be a mentor?
Becoming a mentor is a great way to keep in touch with your alumni community while impacting the next generation of business talent.
Mentors regularly attest to the opportunity to engage in discussion about their line of work, assess their own strengths and career development. Mentors in the 2011 program said:
"I enjoyed guiding my mentee to better understand what he wants in life as well as helping him explore career options and step up to a leadership role in a student organisation." Aswin Andrison, MCom 2010
"I thoroughly enjoyed the mentoring journey - it is always good to meet young people who have a different and interesting perspective of the world. It helps me to reflect on my own life. I believe I had some very meaningful conversations with my mentee; we bounced ideas off each other and explored a number of different topics in our discussion." Mavis Chan, MBA (Executive) 2008

ASB Career Mentoring Program
This program provides selected undergraduate and postgraduate students an opportunity to learn from those who have been working in business for a number of years. Mentors help students prepare for working life after university and broaden their knowledge of the career market, increase their confidence and ability to set and achieve goals.

AGSM MBA (Executive) Mentoring Program
We are searching for AGSM MBA (Executive) alumni to mentor current MBA students in their final year of study. Mentors share industry knowledge and provide career guidance with their mentees while further developing their own leadership skills and re-connecting with the AGSM MBA community. This is a largely informal program. Find out more about the AGSM MBA (Executive) Mentoring program.

This program is presented in partnership with the UNSW student Business Society.
