We are searching for AGSM MBA (Executive) alumni to mentor current MBA students in their final year of study. Mentors share industry knowledge and provide career guidance with their mentees while further developing their own leadership skills and re-connecting with the AGSM MBA community.
To best help students with their career transition, mentors provide support to students during the Strategic Management Year (SMY), formerly known as the Executive Year (EY), at the end of the program.
Process
The program is largely informal and we ask mentors to complete a minimum of 3 x 1 hour meetings over a three month period (either face-to-face or teleconference). We encourage mentors and mentees to organise these meetings in a manner that suits both parties.
Please note: We endeavour to connect compatible mentors and mentees based on shared backgrounds, interests and experiences but there is never a perfect match and research on mentoring highlights that there is always some adaptation needed within the mentoring relationship.
