David Crow
Job title:Chief Executive
Company:British American Tobacco - Australia
Class:
MCom Class of 1989

"I had a blast doing my MCom at UNSW, which I did part time. It was a superb time, very busy and loads of work - but we did this in an environment that was highly creative, energised and very very special. The networks we formed, the space we were given to explore new concepts was truly inspirational. I'll never forget working on a subject called Consumer Behaviour - we were staked out with video cameras in a nearby McDonalds filming how consumers interacted with the environment and the brand experience - amazingly I was doing this again ( 17 years later) just a few weeks ago in retail outlets in Dubai seeing how consumers respond to various environments. The energy, creativity and inspiration this programme gave me I will always value highly, its been a major foundation in my career."
