Speaking at Meet the CEO, an Australian School of Business Alumni event, Mike Smith, CEO of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), discussed with Narelle Hooper, editor of Boss Magazine, his leadership of one of Australia’s largest banks.
“One of the things you need as a CEO is a massive amount of energy. You’ve got to have it, and you’ve got to generate it constantly,” he said.
“It is critical that you believe in your vision: you believe in what you are trying to achieve. You never have any doubt that you can get there,” Mr Smith added, when describing his self motivation.
